Pakistani airspace to be closed until March 4

Pakistan’s aviation authorities have extended a prohibition on the use of the country’s airspace until 08:00 UTC (11:00 Moscow time) March 4, the Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) to this effect was posted on the website of Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority.

It states that the airspace would be closed to all flights, except for those from and to the international airports of Karachi, Peshawar, Islamabad and Quetta. They will be able to start serving flights at 16:00 Moscow on Friday.

An air traffic control source earlier said that a ban on flights over Pakistan had been extended, TASS recalls.
