The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation reviewed the forecast for the volume of parallel imports for 2022 from the previous $16 bln, Izvestia writes.
“According to the Federal Customs Service of Russia, over the three and a half months of the mechanism’s operation (since May 17), almost $9.4 bln worth of goods were imported (in August, $3.1 bln). Therefore, we have already slightly adjusted the forecast and now we are expecting the parallel imports will worth at least $20 bln by the end of the year,” Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said in an interview.
