Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov will take part in the First Regional Summit, entitled 'Mobilizing Finance for Sustainable Development Goals', which will be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan on November 15-16.
Shahbazov is scheduled to make a speech at the opening ceremony of the summit. The Azerbaijani minister will also address a panel session, entitled “Strategic Policy Dialogue: Are we on track to achieve the SDGs?”
The summit to be organized by the Kazakh Ministry of National Economy with the support of the Asian Development Bank and the UN Development Programme aims to promote the mobilization of resources in a bid to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), AzVision.az reported.
The event will bring together about 300 government representatives and delegates from donor organizations, business communities and civil societies.
