Pashinyan and Raisi discuss regional issues and bilateral projects

In a phone call with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on June 1 Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan shared his impressions and information about his last meeting in Brussels with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and European Council President Charles Michel.

According to the press service of the Armenian government, Pashinyan and Raisi exchanged views on regional communications, the start of a process to delimit the state border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the process of the Karabakh settlement and prospects of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Pashinyan and Raisi also discussed the Armenian-Iranian agenda. Particular attention was paid to the third Armenia-Iran high-voltage power transmission line (still under construction), the construction of the North-South highway, and some other issues related to the energy sphere.

The sides confirmed their mutual invitations to pay official visits to each other’s county.
