In a congratulatory message on the occasion of Constitution Day, the Armenian Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, stated again the need to create a new Constitution for the country.

He noted that it was said not about the text but about the method of creating and adopting the Constitution.

"We need a new Constitution, which the people consider to be created and adopted by themselves, and consider what is written there to be consistent with their ideas about the state they have created and about the relations between people and citizens in this state",

Nikol Pashinyan said.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the Armenian people considered the current Constitution to be created and introduced by the ruling elite and not by the country's citizens.
