Pashinyan urges to fine gas and petrol stations for failure to provide cash register receipts

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has asked the State Revenue Committee (SRC), the Police and the National Security Service to fine compressed natural gas and petrol stations a thousand times a day for their failure to provide cash registers receipts.

"Almost all compressed natural gas and petrol stations across the country fail to provide the receipts. I officially declare that receipts are not provided. Why this question is not solved? I am told every day that the stations do not provide receipts, and do it in a demonstrative way, and concrete  people stand behind these stations," ARKA cited Pashinyan as saying.

The PM asked the heads of the State Revenue Committee, the police and the National Security Service why this problem is not solved.

In response, deputy head of the SRC Arthur Manukyan said that the agency cannot constantly monitor the process and all transactions, although the overall situation is under their control.

The PM specified how many times a day one gas station can be fined, if it fails to provide cash register receipts and are there any restrictions. "If not, then fine a thousand times a  day: what's the problem? Start criminal cases, put them in prison," Pashinyan said.
