The next day after the opening of the navigation season in the capital, the steamer ‘Franz Lefort’ was stranded on the Moskva River near the Novospassky Bridge, the press service of the Department of the State Public Prosecutor's Office of Moscow informed.
The incident was reported at about 5 pm, and the rescuers immediately went to the scene. Half an hour later, 50 people were evacuated from the ship, 18 of them were children, RIA Novosti reports.
The evacuation was conducted by the police officers. Now the ship is already at the pier.
Yesterday, the mayor's office of the capital announced the opening of the cruise navigation season, the opening ceremony took place at the Northern River Station.
