Azerbaijan has now demonstrated its commitment to holding the Olympic Games in 2024. This was stated by the president of the European Olympic Committee Patrick Hickey.
"I believe it. There are already various facilities. But the level of organization of the European Games encouraged these competitions and some other countries," APA quotes him as saying.
The organization of the First European Games, Hickey said, was beautiful and even higher than expected, all the athletes were satisfied with conditions in the athletes' village.
"The Games were well organized. The organization, the hospitality, all the aspects exceeded our expectations. I've seen a lot of Olympic villages, and the village in Baku did not concede in anything. There were no complaints about the conditions of stay. I will have only good memories of Azerbaijan," Hickey stressed.
