Pentagon chief Ashton Carter said today that US-Russian cooperation in the military campaign against the Daesh terrorist group in Syria is limited by the desire to avoid conflict situations.
"Our work with the Russian side on this issue is very specifically focused on how to avoid conflicts in Syria," the head of the US military said after a meeting in Paris with defense ministers from seven countries of the coalition fighting Daesh.
He stressed that there is no basis for broad cooperation, Tass reports.
