A meeting was held in Baku between Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev and a delegation headed by Perm Territory Governor Dmitry Makhonin.
The negotiations held on June 1 focused on the fact that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are successfully developing in trade and economic, investment, transport, transit, humanitarian and many other spheres.
It was emphasized that political dialogue and high-level mutual contacts have a positive impact on the development of bilateral relations.
It was also noted that Azerbaijan is carrying out fruitful cooperation with the Russian regions, including the Perm Territory.
In addition to this the parties also discussed the official delegation of the Perm Territory visit to Azerbaijan in December last year. During which a number of business meetings were held and opportunities for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation were discussed. Taking into account that the Perm Territory has been identified as one of the pilot Russian regions for receiving and sending products within the framework of the Agroexpress project, the meeting participants exchanged views on the prospects of developing cooperation in the transport and transit sphere.
