Citizens of Russia can travel to Crimea completely freely, they do not need permission from the Ukrainian authorities, the press service of the Crimean border department of the FSC of Russia declared, commenting on a "public control" memo published by the Russian Consumer Rights Protection Society, which recommends Russian tourists visiting Crimea to obtain permission from the Ukrainian side and that Crimea can only be entered via a checkpoint in the Kherson region.
The FSC advises tourists to get information only from trusted sources.
