The Special State Protection Security of Georgia confirms deportation of the personal guard of former President Mikheil Saakashvili's son from Ukraine, InterPressNews reports.
As InterPressNews was told by the Special State Protection Security, Nikoloz Saakashvili's personal guard, which is an employee of the Special State Protection Service of Georgia, was not let in Ukraine for unknown reasons. In addition, the agency notes that Saakashvili’s son was handed over to his parents by the Ukrainian law enforcers.
"At this stage, the reason of deportation is being studied. Additional information will be known later," said the Special State Protection Service.
According to the former president of Georgia, his son was arrested along with his personal guard at the airport yesterday. According to Mikheil Saakashvili, his son was let in Ukraine after a few hours, but a representative of the Special State Protection Service, who, according to the Constitution, cares for the security of his son, was put on the plane and deported from Ukraine.
