Peskov: Only the Syrians can determine Assad’s fate

AcAccording to the Russian President's spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the fate of Syrian President Bashar Assad can only be determined by the Syrian people.

Answering a question about the development of the plan, Peskov noted that the Syrian President would remain in power, but he has only ceremonial functions, adding that ‘‘we cannot say anything as there is no plan.’’
