Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called Syrian peace talks in Astana, Kazakhstan "hugely complex" when he was asked to comment on the Syrian opposition delegation's refusal to attend the meeting.
"We obviously regard it as an extremely important negotiating process and realized from the very beginning that these are hugely complex talks: the situation at these talks is often complicated by significant differences in approaches of various parties," Sputnik cited Peskov as saying.
"The work continues," Peskov concluded.
