The future of Syria should be determined by the Syrians themselves, said the head of the press service of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, commenting on statements made by the US President Barack Obama recently.
‘‘We consider that it is unacceptable to impose an external solution on the Syrians," Tass cites him as saying.
In this regard, Dmitry Peskov recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated: "The future of Syria must be determined by the Syrians themselves." The head of the press service also noted that recently a similar view was expressed by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
