US military involvement leads to further destabilization of the situation in Syria, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"The Kremlin has repeatedly stressed that the aid, especially financial or technical, to the opposition in Syria, leads to further destabilization of the situation in the country," Peskov noted.
"This essentially creates a situation which could be used by terrorists from the so-called Islamic State. Because the weakened leadership simply loses its potential to stop the growth of Islamic State," the spokesman noted.
This is one of the major differences between Moscow and Washington. And this is absolutely no secret, we have never hushed up these differences," TASS cited Peskov as saying.
