The matter of the possibility of sending Russian troops to Syria hasn’t been considered, said the head of the press service of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, commenting on today's statement by the commander of the Airborne Troops Colonel-General Vladimir Shamanov that the airborne troops of Russia are ready to assist the ATS in the fight against terrorism if this is ordered by the government.
"We aren’t discussing this scenario. This issue is not on the agenda,’’ Interfax cites him as saying.
