On the night of December 6-7, UFC 323 took place in Las Vegas, with the main event being a bantamweight championship bout between Petr Yan (Russia) and Merab Dvalishvili (Georgia).
The fight went the full five rounds, with the judges unanimously declaring Yan's victory.
The victory over Dvalishvili elevates the 32-year-old Russian to third place in the UFC bantamweight division for total wins, marking the 12th victory of his UFC career.
Following the fight, Petr Yan addressed his supporters.
"Russia, hello everyone! Thank you so much to all the fans. We did it! My family – Mommy, Yulia, the kids, I love you.",
Petr Yan said.
Let us remind you that Yan and Dvalishvili's first fight took place in the spring of 2023. That bout ended in victory for the Georgian athlete.
