General Director of the Hermitage Museum, Mikhail Piotrovsky, has stated that the museum is ready to take part in the restoration of Palmyra.
"The cultural role of Palmyra, as you can see, changes all the events that occur. It is very important for us to save this symbolic role of Palmyra, when we will begin to restore it," he said.
