National poet Yagub Zelimkhan has died in Azerbaijan. According to the poet's secretary, Musa Nabioglu, it happened on Saturday at 16:00 local time.
In addition to beingan ashug (folk singer and poet), Yagub Zelimkhan was also engaged in social activities. He was a member of the Azerbaijani Parliament of the first and second and convocations. Yagub Zelimkhan was awarded the Order of Glory of Azerbaijan and the Order of Honor of Georgia.
