The recognition of Russia as a "country-sponsor of terrorism" will become a "point of no return" in relations between the Russian Federation and the United States, Alexander Darchiev, Director of the North American Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry said in an interview with TASS.
He called relations between the two countries "turbulent", saying that Western countries and the United States "trampled international law and absolute taboos in diplomatic practice."
"If it (the initiative to recognize Russia as a sponsor of terrorism - ed.) is implemented, it will mean that Washington has crossed the point of no return with the most serious collateral damage to bilateral diplomatic relations," the diplomat warned.
