The Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia, the famous Azerbaijani composer and singer Polad Bulbuloglu, congratulated Derbent on its 2000th anniversary, performing a song to Rasul Gamzatov's words at a concert.
"We are glad that a celebration came to this land. And we are grateful to the current leadership of Dagestan for the fact that it pays great attention to ancient times, to culture, to their friends," TASS quotes the words of the diplomat and musician as saying.
"Today, we are together at this wonderful festival, our people have always been and will be close," Polad Bulbuloglu stated.
