Unknown people shelled police car in in Malgobek, a source in law enforcement bodies of Ingushetia said.
"Two law enforcement officers in patrol car decided to stop a suspicious car to check documents of its driver," he said.
The driver didn't stop and opened fire instead.
Policemen were not injured in the incident. Gunmen fled the scene.
