Police detains Chinese citizens for attacking Georgian workers

Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs detained three citizens of China for causing minor health damage on purpose to four Georgian citizens in the village Zvare, Kharagauli municipality in the country’s west.

In the statement released later yesterday the Ministry said on November 3 the Chinese people inflicted multiple injuries with a blunt object to Georgian citizens on the basis of conflict.
The Georgians who received injures were hired by the Chinese firm as workers.

Locals told the media several of the employers, equipped with knifes, truncheons and baton fittings, attacked the employees early yesterday after they found the workers were helping a village resident transport firewood.

Georgia’s Public Defender Ucha Nanuashvili said he was following the investigation into the incident, Agenda.ge reports.
