A police officer was shot dead in Yerevan.
Today, at about 4:30am, police officers noticed two persons near the entrance to Victory Park. These persons fled, having seen the patrol car.
Police officers caught them later, but these persons resisted: one of them grabbed one of these policemen’s pistol, shot at one of them, and hit the other officer with the handle of the pistol. Subsequently, these persons fled the scene, News.am reported.
Police officer Tigran Arakelyan, 38, died of the gunshot wound. A criminal case has been opened into this incident.
