Police station attacked in Turkey

A police station has been attacked in Turkey's south-eastern province of Mardin, Turkish newspaper Milliyet reported on May 4th.

One policeman was killed and ten were injured in the attack.

Initial reports suggest that the attackers are the members of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), which has in recent months become active in the south-east of Turkey as attacks on military units and police stations have increased.
