Turkey carrying out tests with Russia's S-400 defense system it purchased was concerning, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said, but added that talks between Washington and Ankara to resolve the issue were still underway.
Speaking at a news conference, he said the U.S. has made it clear to Turkey that Washington wants to see Ankara move away from full operation of the S400 air defense system.
"Yes it is concerning. We are hopeful. We are still talking to the Turks, still trying to figure out our way through this thing," Reuters cited Pompeo as saying.
