Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has tried to settle a verbal conflict between Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and the governor of the Odessa region, Mikheil Saakashvili.
The governor had accused the Prime Minister of being controlled by oligarchs.
According to the president, this verbal sparring is a reflection of dissatisfaction with the pace and depth of reforms in the country. "I want to emphasize that an interpersonal conflict between the prime minister and Mikheil Saakashvili does not exist," RIA Novosti cited him as saying.
Poroshenko said that both Yatsenyuk and Saakashvili intend to amend the situation. At the same time, the head of state questioned the usefulness of such discussions.
