President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon signed the document on appointing Belarusian candidate State Secretary of Belarus Stanislav Zas in the post of CSTO Secretary General, Aysor reported.
“President of Tajikistan backs the candidacy of Stanislav Zas in the post of Secretary General of CSTO,” Tajikistan’s Foreign Ministry’s official representative stated, according to Ria.ru.
On December 21 president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed draft decision on appointing Zas in the post of CSTO secretary general.
The document is to be signed by all CSTO member states.
