Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will participate in the 70th session of the UN General Assembly in New York (USA), which will be held on September 24-27, local media reported.
It is planned that Berdymukhamedov will also speak at a summit dedicated to the objectives of sustainable development for the period after 2015, where he will tell about the vision of Turkmenistan on addressing a number of pressing problems of today and voice Turkmen initiatives aimed at ensuring peace, security and progress, RIA Novosti reports.
It is expected that the Turkmen President will meet with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and heads of various states on the sidelines of summit.
