The Ministry of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan had issued a statement in connection with the fact that the Tariff (Price) Council has introduced regulation of prices for medications. The regulation is introduced according to the accepted model in Europe – the determination of prices was based on their comparison (reference method), the Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev stated.
"Right now the regulation has been introduced on 250 kinds of medicines, although 4,500 medicines have passed the state registration in the country. By the end of 2015 the system of regulation of prices on medicines will be rolled out in full," abc.az cites the minister as saying.
