A protester accused US President Donald Trump of “conspiring with agents of the Russian government” and tossed a fistful of Russian flags at him on Tuesday as Trump entered the Capitol Building for a meeting with Republican lawmakers, Sputnik reports.
"Trump is treason! Trump is treason! Trump is treason!" the protester hollered as the president walked by, throwing Russian flags at Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY). An unfazed Trump glanced at the protester, gave him a thumbs up, and kept walking.
"Why are you talking about tax cuts when you should be talking about treason? Why is Congress talking about tax cuts when they should be talking about treason?" the protester yelled as Capitol police swarmed him. "This president conspired with agents of the Russian government to skew an election. We should be talking about treason, not about tax cuts!"
