Tehran should be involved in the talks on the Syrian crisis, the head of the Russian State Duma Committee for Foreign Affairs, Alexei Pushkov, said at a meeting with a delegation of Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party (LDP).
"We believe that from the viewpoint of diplomatic discussion of this issue, it should involve all the regional powers, and not only those liked by our American colleagues," RIA Novosti cited Pushkov as saying.
According to him, not only Saudi Arabia should take part in these talks, but also Iran, which plays a major role in the region.
