Senator Alexei Pushkov criticized the statement on Nord Stream 2 and relations between Russia and Germany made by the chairman of Stratfor, the private intelligence publishing and consulting firm. He called George Friedman’s words a profanation.
Earlier, Friedman said that Moscow and Berlin have been "flirting" with each other and have been trying to combine "Russian gas and German technology" since 1871, but one side allegedly betrays the other every single time.
In addition, he added that the construction of Nord Stream 2 ”contradicts” NATO's goals.
