Putin, Aliyev and Rouhani to discuss infrastructure and trade

Russian President Vladimir Putin, his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will discuss issues of economic cooperation, as well as infrastructural projects at their meeting in Tehran on Nevember 1, Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"Issues of economic cooperation will be chiefly discussed," TASS cited Peskov as saying.

The Kremlin representative said that the negotiations will also focus on infrastructural projects, including construction of a main railway line - the western branch of the North-South Transport Corridor. In addition, the leaders will discuss cooperation in the energy sector and share opinions on current international problems.

Peskov also stated "a considerable increase in turnover in the Russian-Iranian-Azerbaijani triangle" over the last year - by 70% with Iran and by 62% with Azerbaijan.
