Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed Syria by phone, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday, Urdu Point reports.
Earlier, the administration of the Turkish leader said that Putin called Erdogan and congratulated him on his success in the municipal elections in Turkey.
"Yes, they did," Peskov said when asked whether Putinand Erdogan touched upon Syria in their telephone conversation.
