Today at an enlarged session of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, President Vladimir Putin said that special measures should be taken to prevent illegal migration to Russia in order to prevent a sequence of events similar to what the European Union has experienced.
He stressed that illegal migration requires serious attention, adding that this complex problem should be solved by all public authorities within the framework of their powers.
"We see what is taking place on the EU's borders. Thank God we don't have such an acute problem thanks to your efforts, but we should continue to prevent it from taking place..,'' the Kremlin's website cites the Russian President as saying.
