According to Vladimir Putin’s statement at a meeting on the development of the agricultural sector, it is necessary to control the quality of the imported fruits and vegetables to Russia strictly in order not to put domestic producers in uncompetitive conditions.
"If we do not control imported products, but at the same time have a rigorous approach to the quality of our own products, then such measures put our manufacturers in uncompetitive conditions,’’ the President stressed.
According to him, there are also difficulties in the internal market with fruits, berries and vegetables, especially in winter. ‘‘There is definitely large potential in this sphere,’’ RIA Novosti cites the President.
