Putin: Russia completes Burevestnik cruise missile testing

Russia has successfully completed testing of the unique Burevestnik cruise missile equipped with a nuclear propulsion system, Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed.

The announcement came during the Russian leader's visit to the joint forces command center.

"The decisive phase of testing has now been completed",

President Putin stated.

The Russian leader noted that several procedural steps remain before deployment, though the main tasks have already been completed.

President Putin emphasized that there are no analogues to such a weapon in the world, according to experts.

According to Vladimir Putin, during the initial development, experts expressed the opinion that creating such a missile was impossible, at least in the near future.
