Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to help the Ukrainian Genichesk with gas supplies, because at the moment the city is on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe.
Head of Crimea, Sergey Aksenov, reported to the president about the situation in Genichesk. He asked for permission to establish gas supplies to the city. "There's a situation close to a humanitarian disaster, the situation of the last year, when people were left without heat, is being exacerbated," RIA Novosti quotes him as saing.
Aksenov said that the export of gas to Genichesk a year ago resulted in a debt of 18 million rubles on the Ukrainian side.
