 Putin and Berdimuhamedov discuss bilateral relations

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov have discussed bilateral cooperation in economy and trade and multilateral cooperation in the Caspian Sea region in a telephone conversation, the Kremlin press service said.

"The parties discussed key issues of the agenda of bilateral relations, in particular, the implementation process of agreements reached following the Russian president's visit to Turkmenistan in October 2017. The importance of the continuation of coordinated work in order to consolidate the positive momentum of cooperation in trade, economy, energy, culture and humanitarian affairs was noted," the press service said.

Putin and Berdimuhamedov also addressed multilateral interaction in the Caspian Sea region.

The telephone conversation took part at the initiative of the Turkmen side.
