Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. This is stated in a message posted on the Kremlin website.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the situation in Ukraine. In particular, Putin told his Turkish counterpart about the course of negotiations between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations.
Special emphasis was placed on the humanitarian component. In particular, Turkish president expressed his gratitude for the assistance in the evacuation of Turkish citizens from the Ukrainian territory, as well as in the safe exit of ships with Turkish cargo from Russian ports in the Sea of Azov.
Besides, the presidents of Russia and Turkey discussed the recent talks between the Foreign Ministers in Antalya and Moscow. "The mood was expressed for the further development of mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, including the implementation of strategic projects in the energy sector", the Kremlin's press service said.
