Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed developments in Syria and economic relations especially in the energy sector over the phone today, a source in Turkish president's office said.
The source said that two leaders expressed content over the progress in Akkuyu nuclear plant and Turkish Stream pipeline projects. They also emphasized the importance of using local currencies in bilateral trade, Reuters reported.
