Putin and Israeli PM discuss situation in Ukraine over phone

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett continued to discuss the situation in Ukraine in the context of Russia’s special military operation to defend Donbass, the Kremlin press service said on Sunday after their telephone conversation.

"The leaders continued to exchange views on the situation in the context of the Russian special military operation to defend Donbass, including in light of Naftali Bennett’s latest contacts with the leaders o several countries," it said.

According to the press service, Putin and Bennett "agreed to stay in touch."

Earlier on Sunday, Putin spoke over the phone with French President Emmanuel Macron and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

After talks with Putin in Moscow on Saturday, which, according to the Kremlin press service, focused on various aspects of the situation in Ukraine, the Israeli prime minister flew to Berlin to meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
