Putin and Lukashenko hold talks in Mogilev

Russia's President Vladimir Putin and Belarus' President Alexander Lukashenko held a bilateral meeting ahead of a plenary session of the 5th Forum of Regions in Mogilev.

The Belarusian leader said that the current meeting between the presidents of Belarus and Russia is not the final one this year.

He noted that this city can be considered Russian as well since it lies in the east of Belarus close to the Russian border. "We are always happy to see you here. A lot has been done for this Forum of Regions. You are always welcome here anytime," BelTA cited Lukashenko as saying.

Putin, in turn, thanked the Belarusian head of state for the invitation and the organization of the substantive work during the forum. He expressed the confidence that the events and meetings of the forum will bring results.
