Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Kremlin press service reported.
The two presidents discussed the implementation of the agreements reached following the President of Uzbekistan’s state visit to Russia in April 2017. They reaffirmed mutual interest in strengthening their countries’ strategic partnership and cooperation in the political, trade and economic, and other spheres.
During the discussions on international affairs, Mirziyoyev shared his impressions of his recent official visit to the United States.
The conversation was held at the initiative of the Uzbek side.
