A telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took place today.
"Vladimir Putin stressed that there is no alternative to the start of the inter-Syrian talks under the auspices of the UN and the continuation of an uncompromising fight against Islamic State and other extremist groups operating in Syria," the website of the Kremlin reports.
It is known that the leaders of the two countries have agreed to continue active dialogue on the issue of combating terrorism, gazeta.ru reports.
