King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who is now in Sochi for talks with President Vladimir Putin, has received a gift from the Russian side in the form of a horse of the Akhal-Teke breed in 2012 with the nickname of Khadjibek. The Russian leader was presented with a sword made of Damascene steel.
The horse presented to the King of Bahrain was the world champion of this breed in 2015, the absolute world champion in 2014 and the world champion of young horses in 2014, Tass reports with reference to the Kremlin press service.
The blade of the sword presented to the President of Russia was made of Damascene steel by order of the King of Bahrain. The sheath and the handle are made of precious metals.
