The former leader of Russia's Ingushetia region Yunus-Bek Yevkuro has been appointed Russia's deputy defense minister.
The decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin today, according to the document, posted on the official portal of legal information.
The decree also promoted Yunus-Bek Yevkurov from Major General to Lieutenant General.
Acting Head of Ingushetia Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov congratulated Yevkurov in his new appointment.
