Putin congratulates Berdimuhamedov on Turkmenistan's Independence Day

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the 26th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan.

In the congratulatory message, he praised Turkmenistan's success in addressing topical issues of social, economic and scientific development, as well as deserved authority of the country in the world arena.

Putin also praised bilateral Russian-Turkmen relations, which, according to him, "have reached the level of strategic partnership."

In this connection, Russia's President expressed his confidence that the implementation of the agreements reached following the recent talks in Ashgabat will serve to further the development of fruitful cooperation in all directions.
